Answer : Principle : A liquid boils at a temperature at which its vapour pressure becomes equal to the atmospheric pressure. Thus, by decreasing the outer pressure, the boiling point also decreases and it gets distilled without decomposition.

This technique separates compounds based on differences in boiling points.
