Definition:

Pythagoras theorem states that in a right angled triangle, square of hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of other two sides( that is perpendicular and base).

Points to be noted :

  • Pythagoras theorem can  be used only for right angled triangle.
  • Hypotenuse is the longest side of a triangle.
