The line segment coming from anywhere joining the circle's circumference and that makes 90° angle from the radius.

When a line intersects a circle at two points it's known as a secant.
Now, when this secant is made to pass through the centre of the circle, then it's called a diameter
However, when this secant is moved such that it then just intersects the circle at one unique point, it's called by the name tangent.
