Find the value of x in the given figure when PQ = (2x + 60)° and OQ = (3x - 40)°

To Find:-

The value of "x"

Solution:-

When POR and ROQ is added it gives 90°, so according to this~

 ∠POR + ∠ROQ = 90°

 2x° + 60° + 3x° - 40° = 90°

 5x° + 20° = 90°

Note:-

when + interchange to another side it becomes "-"

when × interchange to another side it becomes ÷

On rearranging

 5x° = 90° - 20°

 x° = 70°/5

Answer:-

 x = 14°
