There is no such thing as average. A normal range of weights can be anything from around 850gm to 4kg. The most normal size of chicken sold in supermarkets in Europe is probably around 1.5–1.8kg assuming you mean “dead weight” - not walking around weight! Live weight will run from 2 lbs to 18 lbs depending on breed.
