♥♥Conclusion ♥♥

The year 1947 was a time of escalating heat in the Cold War. There was building tension between the United States and the U.S.S.R.  The Truman Doctrine, U.S. interaction in the Greek Civil War, the Bizone, and the Marshall Plan were some of the initial moments that established the intensity between the enemy countries. The events that occurred were the basis for the rest of the war. Overall, 1947 was a steadily warming--yet critical--year in a period of increasing heat and hardships.

However, most research about the Cold War is simply in regards to the large-scale countries and their international relations. It is also important to listen to the unheard voices from all over the world. So many people struggled through adverse situations during 1947 and the entire Cold War. Yet their suffering often goes unacknowledged. By gathering perspectives from all types of individuals and cultures, a greater understanding of 1947 and all that happened will arise.
