A book is a collection of pages bound together or kept together as an e-copy. The pages can contain non-fiction and fiction. In fiction, they can either have a variety of short stories, or be one story. A novelis a fictional book that has more than 40k words written in it

To say exactly, there is no point of a difference between a book and a novel. A novel *is* a book.
A book is a hard copy (printed) or a soft copy (e-book) of a work of literature. A book may be fiction or non-fiction. A novel is a book which contains a long story with protagonists and antagonists. A novel has types (sci-fi, anti-hero, etc.) whereas a novel *is* a type of book alongwith magazines, help books, work books, etc.
