What's the difference between Ionic Radius and Atomic Radius ???​

ANSWER

atomic radius :- distance between centre of nucleus to outermost electron

ionic radius :- when ion formed the size of atom is increased if atom gain electron and decrase if atom lose electron. so ionic radius is also distance between centre of nucleus to outermost electron but different from atomic radius in terms of length as ions have size differ from parent atom

this is due to ionic radius the properties of elements does not change

for example in f block atomic radius first increase and then decrease but ionic radius study decrease
