plasmodium in slime moulds forms under unfavorable conditions . when favourable conditions comes it spreds out several feet.

Here, plasmodium refers to a group of organisms which includes Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium falciparum etc. They are pathogens which cause malaria and spread through a female Anopheles mosquito.
Slime mould:
Plasmodium here refers to an amoeba like structure that slime moulds make during unfavourable conditions to produce spores that can withstand harsh environment. Once the favourable conditions return, these spores give rise to slime moulds.
