what's the difference between sliding friction and rolling friction

Sliding friction occurs when the body is sliding over another body.And rolling friction occurs when the body is rolling over another body.

Rolling friction takes place when an object rolls on the surface. Sliding friction takes place when two surfaces are rubbed against each other.Sliding friction takes place due to interlocking between microscopic surfaces.
