What's the difference between the climate of the coastal plains and the Himalayas

The Himalayan region contains most of the mountain ranges because of which it receives heavy rainfall.

Hence the climate here is cold and humid most of the time.

The western coastal plains being near the sea also receives heavy rainfall which is why the climate here is hot and humid most of the time.
