What’s the difference between the include() and require() functions?

They both include a specific file but on require the process exits with a fatal error if the file can’t be included

While include statement may still pass and jump to the next step in the execution.

The difference between include andrequire arises when the file beingincluded cannot be found: include will emit a warning ( E_WARNING ) and the script will continue, whereas requirewill emit a fatal error ( E_COMPILE_ERROR ) and halt the script.
