➞ Total surface area or tsa is the total area occupy by solid object including its top and bases surface.

Formula for finding surface area of cylinder:

➞Surface area of cylinder= Curved surface area + area of its 2 circular bases

➞Surface area of cylinder= 2πrh+πr²+πr²

➞Surface area of Cyclinder= 2πrh+2πr²

➞Surface area of Cyclinder= 2πr(r+h)

-----------------------------------------------------------

Lateral or curved surface area (csa)

Lateral surface area is the total area occupy by a solid object from its bottom to top surface edges only.

Formula for finding lateral surface area

Lateral surface area of Cyclinder=2πrh

Where ,h is the height ,r is the radius and π some constant value.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Volume of cylinder:

➞Volume is the total capacity a solid object can hold in it.

Volume of cylinder= Base area × height

Base area = πr²

height is 'h'

So,volume of cylinder= πr²h

Answer:

TSA = 2πr (h + r)

This is the formula for the total surface area of a given cylinder whose radius is r and height is h.
