What's the main difference between a Letter and an application???

letter can be personal i.e to frnd or family members but application is only for official things like for jobs,school,etc

Hey!

A letter mainly can be informal and formal type. Like you write a letter to your relatives or the editor for printing some news on the paper or the librarian asking for books. We don't complain in a letter.

An application on the contrary is a complaint letter or when asking for something. We write an application to the principal or the municipality or your Society Head for complaining about the mess in the society. That's pretty much I guess.
