Purity or chroma of the colour is also known as either strength of the colour or saturation of the colour.

It basically depicts the quantity of grey colour in proportion to the Hue which is measured as percentage.

If the percentage is 100 we say that it is fully saturated and if the percentage is zero we say that it is gray.

The measure of the purity of the colour in UI design is saturation or Intensity. It is also termed as Chroma. Saturation or the Chroma can be defined as the intensity and the brilliance of the colour.  

In IT industry UI or User interface means the designs into an information device with which an individual can directly interact.

UI covers keyboards, mouse, the display screen or the exteriors of a desktop. Through UI a user also communicates with various websites or application.
