West-bound rivers: 1. Narmada: It originates from Mount Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh. As it flows down the hill, it is trapped in a rift valley between the Vindhya and the Satpura muntainranges which leads it to the west towards Gujarat, were it drains into the Gulf of Khambat
