Illustrates the concept of exothermic reactions, the metallurgy of iron, and energy of activation. The reaction of iron (III) oxide and aluminum can be represented by the equation:
Fe2O3 (s) + 2 Al (s) → Al2O3 (s) + 2 Fe (s)
Fe2O3 (s) + 2 Al (s) → Al2O3 (s) + 2 Fe (s)

Hey there!
Thermite reaction : Thermite reaction is simply defined as the iron oxide reacting with aluminium to produce molten iron.
It's an exothermic reaction.
Chemical reaction :
Fe2O3 (s) + 2 Al (s) → Al2O3 (s) + 2 Fe (s)
This reaction is used to joining railings.
