VSEPR theory is related to structure of a molecule.the following terms in VSEPR theory
=> the geometry of the molecule depend upon the total number of valence electron pairs (either bond pair or lone pairs) around the central atom and the repulsions between these electron pairs.
=>the repulsion among pairs increases as
bp---bp <bp ----lp <lp----lp
=>as the lone pairs increases bond angle increases .
=> pi bond don't affect the stereochemistry of a molecule .
=> a lone pairs and double bond repulsion is much greater then a lone pair and double bond repulsion.
now above concept we find diagram of any molecule.

for N2
N2 is linear planar type structure. because they consider multiple bond .we know multiple bond like triple bond always lies in planar .

Answer:

The Valence Shell Electron Pair Repulsion Theory abbreviated as VSEPR theory is based on the premise that there is a repulsion between the pairs of valence electrons in all atoms, and the atoms will always tend to arrange themselves in a manner in which this electron pair repulsion is minimalized. This arrangement of the atom determines the geometry of the resulting molecule.
