Heya
here's your answer...
a. If majority community rules it will lead to Majoritarianism which underlines the supremacy and dominance of the majority community in a country. An ideology which believes that the majority community has the decision making power and will impose its will upon the minority group in a country. It totally disregards the interests of the minority community members.
b. In fact, the very ideology of majoritarinaism is not conducive and healthy for the society as it leads to domination and suppression of minority causing strife and conflict in the society.
c. A majority community in that country would impose its will and dominance over the minority community.
d. Such a country would deprive the minorities of equal civil and political rights.
e. There would be no power sharing among the different social groups.
f. This would create disillusionment , aggravate fears in the minds of the minority who would then resort to pressure tactics, violence in order to ventilate their grievances and making government responsive to their needs.
g. It would eventually result in civil strife and conflict, tearing the country apart in violence.
h We may give example of The Sri Lankan constitution did not give recognition to the minority group and instead recognised the interests of the Sinhala community members who were in majority.State policies sought to give preference to the Sinhala community in terms of jobs and educational institutions. Tamil dominated regions were deprived of autonomy.Political leaders and parties were insensitive to the demands of the minority group. Thus, such a policy of majoritarianism deteriorated relations between the two communities leading to ethnic conflict.. Lack of power sharing between the two groups and lack of adequate representation and accommodation of the interests of the Tamils led to civil war.
hope it helps...✌✌
