what's your favorite kind of summer holiday?

Explanation:
My favorite part of the holiday season would be the Christmas tree memories. Decorating the Christmas tree is the best and most important part of the season. It's the official beginning and ending of the festivities. My tree has always been filled with a mish-mash of decorations. Homemade, metal, wood, dough, yarn, cross stitch, collectible, personalized and best of all family heirloom pieces. I always tried to get a new, unique ornament for each of my kids every year. Souvenir ornaments are sprinkled in there too. One year I loved frogs, the next year angels and for 2 years I loved birds and I accumulated a few too many of those. The tree topper has changed a lot. We've had a wire twisted star and a small angel in the past. Currently the top of the tree has a beautiful peacock that is 18 inches long, 2 inches wide, and has his feathers down. Instead of garland to go around the tree we've always used different colored and types of strands of beads. Miles of homemade popcorn garland wrapped the tree for a couple years. Lights for the Christmas tree are always multi-color, have to twinkle and have to cover every branch. The tree skirt is my only missing item. I've been loosely laying a big piece of bright red, fine corduroy fabricaround the bottom and it looks ok I guess. My Christmas tree of memories turns out beautiful every year. I can't wait to pull everything out and begin another happy holiday season.
