therefore , 2+x , 7+x , 10+x , 25+x are now in proportion

using proportionality ,

2+x / 7+x = 10+x / 25+x

(2+x) × (25+x) = (7+x) × (10+x)

50 +2x+25x+x^2 = 70+7x+10x+x^2

27x+50 = 17x + 70

27x - 17x = 70 - 50

10x = 20

x =2

therefore 2 should be added
