length in upper fluid be x and lower flud be y.

so

L=x+y

Main point is

Mg=m1g+m2g

2dv=dv1+3dv2

2dAl=dAx+3dAy

2l=x+3y

Solving above eqns

x=y

So section in each fluid is L/2
