What shortcomings do you see in democratic system of india?

Indian Democratic system have many shortcomings such as corruption and lack of transparency,lack of representation and many concerns related to Democratic rights and lack of completeness of citizen uniform rules,many shortcomings are just pulling the country down to sands ,due to above reasons India being the largest democracy still awaits for development ,equality and justice .The plague of injustice and difficulties of life are making the life of common IndiN difficult,being a young Democratic society India have still long road to achieve it's goal of success.

Recent cases of rape by cops,bribery in election's west Bengal,Karnataka and many more reflect all these problems.

These challenges may include: social and economic inequalities, poverty and unemployment, Illiteracy and ignorance, casteism, communalism, population explosion, regionalism, corruption and terrorism, etc. India needs to develop new proposals to reform democracy.
