Let the number that needs to be added to -4/9 be represented by the variable "x"-

Now-

-4/9+x=0

[Using the method of transposition]-

x=0+4/9

=4/9

Method B-

Find out the additive inverse of -4/9-

For- the additive inverse of a fraction with its original value always results in the answer to be a 0
