Let X should be added to (1/2 + 1/3 + 1/5) to get 3.

Therefore,

( 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/5 ) + X = 3

(15 + 10 + 6 / 30 ) + X = 3

31/30+ X = 3

31 + 30X = 30 × 3

30X = 90-31

X = 59/30.



Hence,


59/30 should be added to (1/2+1/3+1/5) to get 3 .
