Answer:

7.08

Step-by-step explanation:

(\frac{1}{2} +\frac{1}{3} +\frac{1}{4} )+x=6\\\\Taking LCM,\\\\(\frac{6+4+3}{12}) +x=6\\\\\frac{13}{12} +x=6\\\\x=6-\frac{13}{2} \\\\x=\frac{72+13}{12} \\\\x=\frac{85}{12} \\\\x=7.08

Given :  1/2 + 1/3  + 1/4

To Find : what should be added to get 6

Solution:

Let say n should be  added to   1/2 + 1/3  + 1/4  to get 6

=> n + 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/4  = 6

=> n +  ( 6 + 4 + 3)/12 = 6

=> n + 13/12 =  6

=> n  = 6 - 13/12

=> n =  ( 72 - 13)/12

=> n = 59/12

59/12 should be added to   1/2 + 1/3  + 1/4  to get 6
