hi

let the other number be x

aim : to find  What should be added to (-13/4+-3/8) to get 1

 (-13/4+-3/8)

=> lcm = 8

=> -26 -3/8

=> - 29/8

now lets form an euqtaion

-29/8 + x = 1

=>x = 1 + 29/8

=>x = 8 +29/8

=>x = 37/8

hence 37/8 should be added to (-13/4+-3/8) to get 1

hope it helps u
