Answer:

heya mate there's your answer

let another number be x

x+(-16/3)=1/9

3x-16/3=1/9

3x-16=3/9

3x-16=1/3

9x-48=1

9x=49

x=49/9

so required number is 49/9

hope it helps you

Thank you

\huge{\boxed{\sf{Solution-}}}

Let the number be x.

According to question,

 \frac{( - 16)}{3}  + x =  \frac{1}{9}

So now let us take the left variable which is available to us to the right hand side. On doing this, there will be a change in sign from negative sign to positive sign.

x =  \frac{1}{9}  +  \frac{16}{3}

x =  \frac{1 + 48}{9}

x =  \frac{49}{9}

Hence, 49/9 should be added to (-16/3) to make 1/9
