Given :  Number 2/5  &  - 3/2

To find : What should be added to 2/5 to get -3/2

Solution:

Let say x should be added  to 2/5   to get  - 3/2

=> 2/5  + x  =  - 3/2

Subtract 2/5 from both sides

=> 2/5 + x - 2/5  = -3/2  - 2/5

=> x  =  - ( 3/2  +  2/5)

LCM of 2 & 5 is 10

=> x = - ( 15/10  + 6/10)

=> x = - (21/10)

=> x = - 21/10

-21/10  should be added to 2/5 to get  - 3/2
