solution

let \: the \: required \: number \: be \: x.

x +  \frac{ - 2}{7}  = 1

x =  \frac{1}{1}  -  \frac{ - 2}{7}

LCM of 1 and 7 is 7.

x =  \frac{7 - ( - 2)}{7}

x =  \frac{9}{7}

therefore \: required \: number \: is \:  \frac{9}{7}

proof \:

 \frac{9}{7}  +  \frac{ - 2}{7}

LCM of 7 and 7 is 7.

 =  \frac{9  + ( - 2)}{7}

=  \frac{7}{7}  = 1

hence verified
