Step-by-step explanation:

So,

let the number that is to be added be X

THEN,

29/75 + X = 13/15

X = 13/15 - 29/75

HERE TO SUBTRACT THESE TERMS WE SHOULD MAKE THE DENOMINATOR EQUAL

X = 65/75 - 29/75

HERE WE TURN 13/15 TO 65/75 BY MULTIPLYING 5 IN THE TERM 13/15

MULTIPLYING 5 IS NECESSARY BECAUSE WE HAVE TO MAKE THE DENOMINATORS OF BOTH THE TERMS EQUAL.

MAKING. DENOMINATORS. EQUAL IS IMPORTANT FOR ADDING AND SUBTRACTING

X = 36/75

X = 12/25
