Let the required number be m

2x²+6x²y-8xy²+m=13y²+5x²y+3xy²

=>m=13y²+5x²y+3xy²-2x²-6x²y+8xy²

=>m=13y²-x²y+11xy²-2x²

Therefore ,13y²-x²y+11xy²-2x² should be added to 2x²+6x²y-8xy² to get 13y²+5x²y+3xy²
