Heya,

-3/5 + -5/3

= -9/15 + -25/15

= -34/15

Let the number to be added be x.

-34/15 + x = 1

By transposing -34/15 from LHS to RHS we get,

x = 1 +34/15

= 49/15

Therefore 49/15 should be added to (-3/5 + -5/3) to get 1.

Hope it helps u........

sum of -3/5+-5/3
-5/15+-3/15
-9+-25/15
-34/15

let the number be x
-34/15 +x =1
x=1+34/15
x=1/1 +34/15
x=15+34/15
x=49/15
therefore 49/15 should be added to -3/5+-5/3 to get 1
