\sf\underline{Step-by-step \: explanation}

Let the faction be x

 \frac{ - 3}{8} \: + \: x \: = \frac{15}{12}

x \: = \: \frac{15}{12} \: - \: \frac{ - 3}{8}

Lcm of 12 and 8 = 24

\dfrac{-3}{8} = \dfrac{-9}{24}

\dfrac{15}{12} = \dfrac{30}{24}

\dfrac{30}{24} - \dfrac{-9}{24}

x \: = \: \frac{39}{24}

mukheer1977: What is the problem in my answer?
SSMadar: Nothing by mistake i gave 15/8 but actually it is 15/12
mukheer1977: Edited my answer
