$\frac{-4}{15}$ + $\frac{7}{10}$  = $\frac{13}{30}$

1 - $\frac{13}{30}$ = $\frac{30}{30}$ - $\frac{13}{30}$ = $\frac{30 - 13}{30 - 30}$ = $\frac{17}{30}$

Therefore $\frac{17}{30}$ should be added to $\frac{13}{30}$ to get 1
