sugar is sold at RS. 17 3/4 per kg . find the cost of 8 1/2 kg of sugar .

x = 12 - 36/7

x= (84 - 36)/7

x = 48/7 = 6 6/7 is added

1kg. sugar -----------> Rs 71/4

17/2 kgs of sugar = 17/2 x 71/4

= Rs 150.875
