let x be added to get 3/11
 \frac{ - 5}{11}  + x =  \frac{3}{11}  \\   x =  \frac{3}{11}  +  \frac{5}{11}  \\ x =  \frac{8}{11}
so 8/11 is added to -5/11 to get 3/11

Heya !!!

Let X should be added to -5/11 to get 3/11.

Therefore,

-5/11 + X = 3/11

-5 + 11X = 3×11/11

-5 + 11X = 3

11X = 3+5

X = 8/11

Hence,

8/11 should be added to-5/11 to get 3/11.
