The term is add to 5(2x-y) to get

4(2x - 3y) + 5(x + 4y) = z

5(2x-y) + z = 4(2x - 3y) + 5(x + 4y)

10x - 5y + z = 8x - 12y + 5x + 20y

10x - 5y + z = 13x + 8y

z = (13-10)x + (8+5)y

z = 3x + 13y

Option B

Check:

5(2x-y) + 3x + 13y = 4(2x - 3y) + 5(x + 4y)

10x - 5y + 3x + 13y = 8x - 12y + 5x + 20y

13x + 8y = 13x + 8y

LHS = RHS
