Let the number added be x

ATQ

-7/3 + x = 3/7

=> x = 3/7 + 7/3 ( Find LCM of 7 and 3 = 21 )

=> x = (3×3 + 7×7)/21

=> x = (9+ 49)/21

=> x = 58/21

Therefore, 58/21 should be added to -7/3 to get 3/7.

Given: Two rational numbers-  \frac{-7}{3} \ and \ \frac{3}{7}

To find: The number which should be added to \frac{-7}{3} to get  \frac{3}{7}

Let: The required number be x

Solution: According to the given question,

\frac{-7}{3} + x = \frac{3}{7}

x = \frac{3}{7} - (\frac{-7}{3}  )

x = \frac{3*3 - [(-7) * 7]}{21} = \frac{9 - (-49)}{21} = \frac{58}{21}

Hence, \frac{58}{21} should be added to \frac{-7}{3} to get \frac{3}{7}
