let the no to be x

so

x+74/15 = 82/5

x = 82/5 - 74 /15

LCM of 5,15 is 15

82/5 × 3 by both sides

74/15 ×1 by both sides

then

x=246/15 -74/15

x=172/15

is the answer I hope it will be help to you

Answer :-

\sf{Let\ the\ number\ be\ x.}

\sf{\implies7  \dfrac{4}{5}  +  \: x \:   =  \: 8 \dfrac{2}{5}}

\sf{\implies \dfrac{109}{15}   \:  +  \: x \:  =  \dfrac{42}{5}}

\sf{\implies \: x \:  =  \:  \dfrac{42}{5} \:  -  \:  \dfrac{109}{15}}

\sf{\implies \: x \:  =  \:  \dfrac{126 \:  -  \: 109}{15}}

\sf{\implies \: x \:  =  \:  \dfrac{17}{15}}

\implies{\sf{So,\ \dfrac{17}{15}\ should\ be\ added.}}
