Let X should be added to -7/9 to get 5/9.

Therefore,

-7/9 + X = 5/9

X = ( 5/9 + 7/9 )

X = 12/9.

Hence,

12/9 should be added to -7/9 to get 5/9.

Heya user ,
Here is your answer !!

let the number to be added be x .

So , ATQ ,
x + -7/9 = 5/9
=> x = 5/9 - ( -7/9 )
=> x = 5/9 + 7/9
=> x = 12/9
=> x = 4/3 [ Ans ]

Hope it helps !!
