Given :

\sf Added  \:  to  \: get \:  ( \frac{1}{2}  +  \frac{1}{3}  +  \frac{1}{5}  ) \:  to  \: get  \: 3

To find :

  • What should be added ?

Solution :

Sum of two rational number = 3

 = ( \frac{1}{2}  +  \frac{1}{3}  +  \frac{1}{5}  )

 =  \large \frac{15 + 10 - 6}{30}  =  \frac{19}{30}

❍ The other number b= Sum - One of the numbers

 = 3 -  \frac{19}{30}  =  \frac{90 - 19}{30} =   \frac{17}{30}
