 -  \frac{ 7}{12}   +  x =  \frac{5}{6}

x =  \frac{5}{6}  +  \frac{7}{12}

x =  \frac{(5 \times 2) + 7}{12}

x = \frac{10 + 7}{12}

x =  \frac{17}{12}

so \: the \: number \: which \: should \: be \: added \: is \:

 \frac{17}{12}

x +  \frac{ - 7}{12}  =  \frac{5}{6}

x =  \frac{5}{6}   +  \frac{7}{12}

by taking LCM ,

x =  \frac{5 \times 2}{6 \times 2}  +  \frac{7}{12}

x =  \frac{10}{12}  +  \frac{7}{12}

x = \frac{17}{12}
