Let x be the required no.
A/Q -
5 +x/ 12+x = 2/3
=> 3( 5+x) =2(12+x)
=> 15 + 3x = 24 + 2x
=>24- 15 = x
=> x = 9
Hence 9 should be added to fraction to get 2/ 3
u can verify it by putting 9 in place of x in that fraction so LHS will be equal to RHS
hope this helps u
