Hey here is your answer!!

Let a be added to the polynomial.

Given: f(x) = x^2-5x+3

If 3 is a zero of the polynomial then putting 3 in f(x).

f(3) = (3)^2-5(3)+3+a = 0

= 9-15+3+a = 0

= -6+3+a = 0

= -3+a = 0

= a = 3

So the number to be added is 3.

Hope it helps u...
