What should be added to the polynomial x3-3x2+6x-15 so that it is completely divisible by x-3?

x-3=0

x=3

x³-3x²+6x-15=0

3³-3(3)²+6(3)-15=0

27-27+18-15

=3

3 should be minus from the given polynomial

given : p(x) = x³-3x²+6x-15

solution :

on dividing  x³-3x²+6x-15  by x-3

we get

The quotient = x² +6

remainder = 3

i.e

remainder must be added to the polynomial so that it is completely divided by x-3

hence , 3 must be added to the polynomial
