now, let a is added to the sum to get 3p³ − 2p²q² + 4pq .

so,

→ a + (2p³ + 5p²q² + 2pq) = (3p³ − 2p²q² + 4pq)

→ a = (3p³ − 2p²q² + 4pq) - (2p³ + 5p²q² + 2pq)
