Let x should be added,

3(-8/5) + x = 4/7

x = 4/7 + 24/5

x = (20+168)/35

x = 188/35

188/35 should be added

I hope this will help you

3(-8/5)+x = (4/7)
x = (4/7) +(24/5)
x = (20+168)/35
x = 188/35

So, (188/35) should be added to the thrice the rational no -8/5 to get 4/7
