\implies Let the Number is to be added be 'x'.

The Expression is :-

x + ( 2 × -3 ) = 5

Compute the Value of x as follows:-

x + ( 2 × -3 ) = 5

x + (- 6) = 5

x - 6 = 5

x = 5 + 6

x = 11.

So, the Number to be added is 11.
