x + 2 * (-7/3) = 3/7

x – 14/3 = 3/7

(3x – 14)/ 3 = 3 / 7

3x – 14 = 9 / 7

7 (3x – 14) = 9

21x – 98 = 9

21 x = 9 + 98

21 x = 107

x = 107/21
